Good evening every one.
I am in the process of removing the several layers of anfouling paint.
Once this is done I am planning on fairing the hull (removing sanding scratch and nicks) and applying a water barrier.
I am looking at either interprotect of Pettit products.
Any thoughts, recommandations?

John Both are good products I can't recomend one over the other BUT I will tell you to make sure all of the old berrier coat is removed before applying any new paint. I took mine down to the bare gelcoat faired all scratches and blisters with 3M filler and applied 4 coats of Interlux 2000E before 4 coats of petit It came out looking as good as a new boat good luck Roscoe

Good evening Roscoe.
The 3M filler you used, is this the same 'glazing' that we use on cars to fill scratches?
I am sanding down to the Gelcoat. The boat is as white as it can be!
The interlux product you used before the pettit waterbarrier, is this some sort of sealer?
John.

The Interlux is a two part beerier coat it;s purpose is to seal the gel coat and the pettit is the sacrificial finish that is best repainted before the wear reaches the bearer coat every year or so determined by the amount applied and amount of sailing you do.You can check out both products on line as well as on the phone. Both companies are very helpful. Roscoe
