Does anyone know the diameter of the centerboard pin hole? My board has about 3/4 of an inch up and down slop. I pulled the pin which is 3/4 inch and it has no wear at all after 38 years. Before I drop the board and check for wear, I was wondering how much slack the board should have.. Thanks.

Hey
As far as I know, I have never seen a picture of the centerboard pin and pin sleeve. Your measurement of 3/4" is good news.
I have no idea of the slack needed for the board.
I would imagine that if there is no ware on the pin as you indicted, then there's a good chance that the board has not suffered much in pin hole area.
I don't understand the "3/4 in up/down stop. This is a function of the cable. Maybe it needs to be replaced???
Take some pictures of your work. Would love to see what a centerboard pin looks like.
Thanks Harris

The up and down is under the pin area. I assume either the board hole is worn or the hole is designed oversize so won't hang up. I'll let you know what I find after I drop the board today. I will also call Rudy at D&R and get his take.
