Got one too. Mizen is kind of worth less and it take alot of thingypit space , but while under sails it looks so cool. Also in self steering mode it help trim the rudder. Peter 1969 Caper hull # 81

I owned a Pearson 35 Yawl hull #223 I sold it in FL around 1994, It had to go due to a work related move. Always wondered where it got to, I was told the buyer was from AL. Could this be your boat? I am presently buying a Sloop rig Pearson 35 in MD hull #221, I really missed the last one so here I go again. As for the yawl rig I felt it was a balanced rig with everything up and you could sail with just the jib and mizzen very nicely, refered to as jib and jigger, also the mast on the yawl is shorter giving you a 40' bridge clearence. Just some thoughts. Fair winds - Dave A.

Got factory blue prints for yawl and sloop. The mast is the same for both, every bit of 44 ft + antennas and lights!!! Do not try to go under lower bridge!! Peter CAPER hull # 81

That's interesting, the clearence on my yawl was 40' I presently own a sloop and have the 44' as you state. Maybe the yawl I had was a short rig. The original owner may have had some reason. I just assumed they were all that way. Anyway it was a good boat I liked it so much that I bought another Pearson 35.
