Before I can add refrigeration to my 1978 P35,the Ice box has to be re insulated. Any suggestions on what type of insulation to use and how to apply to the inside of the box would be helpful.

I've thought about using the foam board that is used in house construction. Available in 2" thick panels. Problem is 4" reccomended for a frig and 6" for freezer. That will take up a lot of space.. <http://www.lowes.com/pd_96554-46086-673349_0__?productId=3365272&Ntt=foam+insulation+board&pl=1¤tURL=%3FNtt%3Dfoam%2Binsulation%2Bboard&facetInfo=>
Have been looking into a space age super insulation called Thermablok <thermablok.com>. It comes in 59" wide rolls by .40" thick. One layer has the insulating quality of 2" of the residential foam board. Can put in three layers and have way better insulation performance and save 4" of space. Of course, such a super insulator doesn't come cheap. It's $5.99 a square foot. Just did a ball park estimate of $250 to do my 3.25 cubic foot box. Have been corresponding with Kathryn Ricciardelli <KRicciardelli@acoustiblok.com> if you want to pursue it further.

I used a product called "Heat Shield Marine" from Florida.. A search on the name gives a phone number in Punta Gorda, Fl. The material is 1 inches thick made up of many layers of foil and grids. After cutting and fitting the heat shield, I lined the inside of the refridge a plyable plastic sheet material I found at Home Depot. I sealed the edges with 5200. It has held up well for about 9 years and cut my cycle time from 40 minutes per hour to 20 minutes per hour.
