Hi all. My pearson 35 is from 1979, hull 0460. It has a universal/kubota diesel. Does anyone have any information on the automatic fuel shutoff on the top of the fuel tank? The owners manual is silent. My problem is that I don't seem to be getting any fuel to the pump, and wonder how it is wired.
Thanks for any help. Tony

Take it out. Not needed. Go straight to the engine. Wired to on/off switch. Needs 12v to open valve.

Thanks, Harris. After much work and a disassembly of the fuel system from the tank to the engine bleeds, we finally realized that the shutoff was working fine and the fuel lines were not clogged. We found that one of the bleeds on the top of our Fram 1136 fuel separator was night completely tight, letting air into the system. Once we tightened it down we were able to get a nice fuel flow and the engine is running fine.
Thanks for commenting. Tony
