Does anyone want to share how to remove the fuel tank on a 1981 vintage P35 ?. It appears for my tank I would have to raise the tank about 4 " to lift out of the box the tank is mounted inand it looks like I only have 3" of clearance to the steering cables . The box the tank is mounted in looks like it was pre-assembled and then tabbed in w/ fbg. I was hoping I could slip it out but it looks tight. I have my 5424 out but it looks like not enough room to come forward either Suggestions apreciated.

My tanks is currently out (cleaning and refitting original 30 gal Monel tank for diesel fuel). The boat is a 1977 P35. I disconnected one steering cable from the quadrant to provide the necessary clearance. After disconnecting hoses etc. the tank comes out the port sail locker with very little problem Jack

Thanks Jack, I appreciate the quick reply as scheduled launch is 4/30. I'll check this out today. Checking and Cleaning the tank seemed important for a 25 year old diesel boat, thats been sitting for a few years, figured I'd regret it later if I didn't check it. With my last boat I would run out of fuel with a 1/4 tank on the gauge. I found the pickup screen and extension hose had fallen off So I couldn't draw off the bootom 3 " of the tank Thanks again for the advice and Best of Luck with your projects
