Whit That is a difficult question as most boats this age has been rewired refitted and in general messed up. suggestion, Find a hot wire, 12 volts, run a jumper from it to the pump and see if the pump works then, if not check for voltage drop at the pump . I would suggest a book called The 12 volt Bible by Miner Brotherton It is a book that I would recommend to all boaters with limited electrical knowledge. Another is Boatowners Illustrated Handbook of Wiring By Charlie Wing Either of these books will get you through your problem and give you unbelievable knowledge of electricity and wiring. To quote one boat owner"Befor redin these books I couldnt even spell lecktrishon , now I are one". Good luck Roscoe
