What size holding tanks do we have? Mine is only 9 gals and that seems pretty small. Who has a larger one and where is it located?

Thanks, I should have found that myself. Maybe I will get some more thoughts though.
You have really put together a great site here! Thanks for that too!!

i used a kracor tank under the port v berth. It is a 20 gal. tank. Kracor selected because of their extensive catalog of sizes and shapes. Also they will custom locate fittings to your specification

I use a Todd 20 gallon tank, had to change the inlet and outlet it is in the starbord V berth locker, electrosan is in the port V berth locker.I only use the holding tank when in a nothing overboard area, otherwise the lectrosan is used exclusively. When beyond the 3 mile limit the Raritan Sea Era head discharges directly overboard. The holding tank can be discharged overboard manualy with a hand pump if necessary. Roscoe

I replaced my entire sanitation system last year and installed a new tank I ordered from West Marine (I'm not sure exactly what model it was, but it is about 13 - 15 gallons). I selected that tank after some research only because of it's dimensions - it fit perfectly into the existing plywood holding tank "restrainer box" located under the port v-berth. My feeling is the bigger the better, but I was constrained by the existing plywood box and did not feel like tearing it out.
By the way, I replaced the existing Bosworth Sea-Lect 3-way valve , which I had already replaced once and concluded was useless (kept binding up) with a new Jabsco Diverter Valve, which has not bound up yet and I think is MUCH better.
Finally, just in case you are not aware, you should use the expensive sanitaion hose at $8/ft, but you need to heat it up to make it flexible enough to slip on and off fittings. My wife was ready to divorce me the day I figured this out the hard way. The typical method is a blow dryer, but I am on a mooring so I used a dish towel dipped in boiling water anbd wrapped it around the pipe. Ouch! Good luck.
