My 1978 P35 has developed a leak in the starboard locker over the ice box. Location of leak is in the aft corner of locker. Any suggestions on finding leak and fix would be greatly appreciated.

Warren; Me too! both port and starboard. It seems to be coming frrom the windows. However have not the courage to remove them yet. Keep me posted--I'll do the same. Jack

My guess is the hull (deck to hull) seam. There is a wood screw every 6". I bet it's under the toe rail.

Same problem on Skye, port side. I plan to rebed the track on the deck, suspect #1. If that doesn't cure the problem, I will consider the windows to be suspect #2. I'll be back to ask how to replace these units.

Sometimes tricky to find the source but easy to find where it puddles when I sit in it. . I was told a trick of using colored chalk dust used for a chalk line . The theory is you can dust the inside of the hull or locker in a few spots and watch for the chalk to run. It might get you closer to the source

Just to follow-up on my previous reply: I rebedded the track on the side deck. I found three bolts that indicated water penetration. There have been several storms since the re-bedding and I have not had any leaks. I can tell from photos on this site that many 35's don't have the track on the deck that Skye does. Some owners would not have this problem. Has Royer
