Hi Living in cold climate Oct 1 we have to have the boats hauled winterized and stored. Can anyone tell me how much weight is supposed to be on the keel. My last boat said approx 75% on keel. I don't seem to be able to find anything for the Pearson. I do have a cradle but was planning on putting it on timbers and jack stands to facilitate removing the center board to replace cable and repair leak around pin. Thanks for the help Ken

Almost all the weight of the boat is bearing down at the keel, be it on a couple of landscape ties or pillars made of ties stacked in a square formation. Two aligned fore and aft then on top of that, two alligned perpendicular to the ones below them, etc until you get the height needed for access to the centerboard. I needed 4 courses of 10 inch ties to be high enough to remove the board completely. Any other shoring or jack stands are there to hold the boat up.right. Larry Night Wind 1969, #104
