How difficult is it to replace the lexan on the forward hatch? I have made on offer on a P35 and the lexan in the forward hatch is cracked. Any idea of the cost?
Thanks!

Suggest using plain old plexiglass rather than Lexan. Lexan is very prone to crazing from UV, much worse than Plexi. Lexan's surface is also softer than Plexi so scratches easier. Plexi is plenty strong. I'd only use Lexan if you need the hatch to be bullet proof. Not normally needed unless planning a cruise of the Somali Coast.
Haven't tried to replace the lense in a hatch so can't help you there. Much as I hate to mention the dirty word sillycone, there is commercial grade sillycone used in windows on commercial buildings that may be the best sealant
Assume you don't have the fiberglass hatches of the early P35's.

Thanks Roverhi - I meant to say plexiglass. I am certainly not planning any cruises off the Somali coast. I have made an offer on a P35 and I'm building a commissioning budget ahead of the survey.
Thanks,
M
