My rope to cable assembly broke  . Does anyone know how to find one or what to replace it with. |

Just a follow up on the rope to cable assembly for the centerboard. The stainless steel spool that the cable wraps around had broken. I took the unit to a local (St. Petersburg, FL) stainless steel welder/fabricator. After looking at it for maybe more than 15 minutes while mumbling things like "what the hell is this",or "how does it come apart" and "what does it do again" I, at his request, left it for him to study further. A day later he called saying it's fixed and the bill is $60. Skeptically, rushed down and found that the unit had indeed been fixed, in fact I could not tell that it had ever been broken. They did a great job and the unit worked perfectly.
