Thinking of putting lexan or sliding lexan into the original hatches. Any experience? Wondering if it will heat up the cabin too much vs be happy for the added light and ventilation if I went with the sliding ones.

Lexan scratches easier and crazes way faster than plexiglass from UV. Unless you need the bullet proof specs of Lexan, cheaper, easier and more durable to go with good old plexiglass. Without cast in filters in any clear product, they will transmit a lot of heat when exposed to direct sunlight. Have Low E glass in the skylight in our condo. Neighbor has cheap plastic skylight. Our apartment is cool. He has use PITA shades in the summertime to cut down on heat. No experience with a P35. Would see if you can find material that has the cast in UV/IR filters or you could also be varnishing more often,
