Hello all Thas been my first season as the owner of #337. Im planning my winter projects and noticed a crack in the front motor mount plastic covering. I have been on various websites all listing a boat load of motor mounts and of course none look like the ones currently installed. I was wondering what advice anyone might have as to actual part numbers and brands of motor mounts as well as installation experience. My engine is a universal M 35 in a 1976 pearson.
Thanks..

Replaced the stock Yanmar mounts with an after market variety. Unfortunately, don't have the paperwork and don't remember who's they were. Did call up the motor mount mfg, told them what my engine and boat are, and they sized the mounts. Not the same bolt pattern as the Yanmar mounts but that was the reason I was changing them in the first place. If you want to keep the same hole spacing, accurately measure the curent ones and get on line to the various mfg to find what fits. Universal may have what you need as the chances are good they supplied the mounts that you now have.

torreson will charge you a ton, but they will be able to supply you the right part (for anything on your engine), and their service is excellent.

I wanted to share a little info regarding motor mounts that I found out. My Pearson has a universal M35 which is kinda big for a Pearson. Because of this low profile motor mounts were used in order to align the prop shaft with out cutting the engine supports. They were the M3's made by globe industries, who no longer makes engine mounts.Turns out Polyflex makes engine mounts that are exact matches for the globe mounts. Hope this helps someone out there.
