The Pearson 35 owner's page is offline. I wonder whats going on and if there is anything that can be done to get it going again?
Kind regards,
Pearson 35, 1977

Yes, I was wondering the same thing. I noticed it was gone this past weekend. I know activity on the site was low but I still liked to check it out and have listed items for sale. Also used it to get help with projects.

I have experienced the same thing with the links to most pages. With a "This webpage is not available" message.

I wonder if Harris is revamping. I offered to help out and he got back to me with an 'I'm thinking about it' and nothing since then. Perhaps he is in the process of overhauling?

Any luck in finding out what's happened to the web site. It's a great source of knowledge and ideas to improve the P35. Would hate to lose the site.

Now when I check the web site I get a "This webpage is not available" message on the home page of the site. Seems its down all together. I'm sure there are a few of us that would like to take over the site and keep it updated.

One option is to migrate to forum.sailboat owners.com It's and excellent forum platform that allows uploading files and pictures. They have dedicated forums created for specific manufacturers. I'm already using that platform.

We can change but the pearson35.com site had a wealth of information that would be a shame to lose. Know that participation here isn't overwhelming but I, for one, would pay to have the photos and information available in one place. Anyone know how to find Harris and find out what the problems with keeping the sight up and saving the information?? I'd help with maintaining the site but I'm a dunce when it comes to the supposedly easy to use point and click operating systems. I couldn't even figure out how to send pictures and info. to the site.

I agree . The information on it was very valuable. He must have dedicated many hours to it. Let's hope someone can get in touch with him.

Considering a P35 that has a damaged centerboard trunk. Previous owner elected to seal off the board in the hull. Two questions: how much performance is lost going to windward without a board?
Second: the previous owner was quoted a figure of $9M to repair the damaged trunk. (The CB itself was undamaged) This seems unreasonable to me, but I didn't and haven't seen the damage in person. I'm told that very little water seeped in. What's the worst case scenario for a comprehensive repair?
I notice that there is tread devoted just to CB issues. Is it a regular problem with the P35? (I guess that's three questions)
Appreciate any thoughts out there.

1- a small to moderate amount. 2- all prices are regional and without knowing more it would be hard to know. But that seems very high (assuming you mean 9k, not 9M- that'd be REALLY high). Even reglassing the whole trunk should be 1500-2 3- all CB boats can have issues, but most are just owners that are unfamiliar.

Is there any news from Harris about the owner's site?

Has anyone had any success reaching Harris about the website? It would be such a shame to lose all that great information. But, most importantly - Is Harris okay?
