Hello, We just entered the Pearson 35 owners circle. Does anyone know what makes up the 1972 Pearson Refrigeration system? There is a yellow tank that possibly holds some type of fuel? Where is the compressor located? Is it possible to upgrade the fridge?

Welcome to the world of Pearson 35. My P35 1971 hull 191 had an icebox starboard of the companionway that I converted to a freezer/frig using a Frigeaboat system with a keel cooler. Works great in the Florida/Bahamas waters. Where is the yellow tank?

I'm doing the same thing with a Frigaboat system. The PO cut down the original ice box for some unknown reason and wondering what the original size was?? Any things I should know about before getting into the install?? Plans are to insulate box with 3" of styrofoam house insulation all around and fill in any voids with poured foam. Did the poured foam before so know you have to be careful that you don't use too much and it blows up the installation.

I can get you the original (inside measurements I presume) measurements the next time I'm down at the marina.
