I'm replacing my chainplates. Bought the boat recently.
After removing the chainplates I noted that they each had their own individual bend. For example the bend in the port forward chainplate did not exactly match the bend in the starboard forward chainplate. In one case the chainplate is completely straight while the opposing chainplate has a bend.
I'm thinking that maybe all the chainplates should be straight.
My question is, are the chainplates on the Pearson 35 supposed be straight? It might be that the ones that I'm looking at have bent over the years; which accounts for their random angles.
Thanks Bill N.
