Does anyone have a backstay adjustor that they would recommned for a P-35.
Also, has anybody had to add track aft of the standard track in order to get proper sheeting angles for a large genoa?
Thanks.

I don't have an adjuster on my P-35, but I did put one on our last boat, a Morgan 30, that had a similar "Tree Trunk" mast. I put one of the screw type adjusters on it. I can tell you it made a huge difference in going to weather. We raced it very competatively and I don't see how we could have done nearly as well without it.
I don't race the P-35, but if I did, that'd be the first piece of hardware I'd buy. I don't think a block & tacke system would work too well. You'd probably need something like 24:1 or more to get the desired effect. I'd go hydraulic if you can afford it. Be sure to check out your mast step and the support post below decks! An adjuster will put very substantial loads on the mast and you want to be sure it's in good condition.
As far as the genoa track, when we got our boat it had a 170% genoa and I don't remember having trouble with the sheeting angle.
Good luck!
